Ascoglossum calopterum (Rchb f) Schltr 1913 first time blooming at my house. I got the plat from Sulawesi probably about a year ago. The plant was placed to receive the sun from morning to just before noon, and not under a shade.Enjoy!

Dendrobium derryi Ridl 1907 is found in Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Malaysia. My Dendrobium derryi is from Sumatera. When i received the plant, it has no live root at all. Last week I got a vanda plant from a friend. It was said to be Vanda crassiloba. Well, I could not find it in Orchid Species, therefore i search the net. There is no picture to compare to, but only that it is called Vanda crassiloba Teijsm & Binn.At this point, I do not have information on the habitat of this species.

Dendrobium lampongense JJ Sm 1908Section CalcariferaThis plant was coming from Kalimantan. At first I thought it was Dendrobium cinereum. However, the flower is quite big and stronger in color than Dendrobium cinereum. Then my friend confirmed that this is Dendrobium lampongense.

Dendrobium trilamellatum was described by JJ Smith 1908.The flowers are fragrant, and appear from spike which can be up to 40cm long. This species enjoy a lot of air movement around it, and can tolerate semi-shade position to full sun.
