Dendrobium loddigesii

Dendrobium loddigesii Rolfe 1887 was named aftar an English botanist Loddiges back in 1800s. It was found in the subtropical forest in Laos, Vietnam, Southwest of China and Hongkong. Live in the moist and humid forest at elevation of 1000 to 1500 m above sea level.

I got this plant about 1 year ago from a nursery in Lembang, about 1000m above sea level. I did not have so much faith that it would grow well at my place, only a few meters above sea level, hot but humid. However, as it was raining quite alot lately, and probably the temperature drop, it bloomed last week.

Enjoy
